Meet the Team

  • Alex has almost 30 years of experience as an elite level athlete and coach. He has represented New Zealand at both Commonwealth and World Championships in Fencing then after a life changing injury he went on to compete and coach in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts and Submission Grappling.

This journey of healing and self discovery cemented the importance of a daily physical and mental practice in order to develop a resilient, flexible and positive attitude alongside a healthy, balanced and strong body. Alex has found through experience that when these elements are balanced it is possible to enjoy life in a richer way and continue to grow into our potential everyday.

He is currently focused on developing his coaching methodology and bringing the benefits of yoga, meditation and exercise science to the wider BJJ community for a more holistic, healthy and positive lifestyle which empowers people to reach for their full potential not only as athletes but more importantly as human beings.

  • Mitch is our specialist physical conditioning coach for the Peaceful Warrior Mens camp and will be putting us through our paces as well as upskilling us with an indepth workshop on his training methodology and philosophy.

Mitch helps people go from being unable to move or live happily due to pain, injuries or biomechanical flaws, all the way to being fully free in their physical capabilities.

He has competed professionally as a surfer, and as an amateur in combat sports.

He likes to share simple, repeatable tools and concepts that participants can take away and continue to use to keep their body healing, improving and moving.

  • Ryan is dedicated to helping men stand strong in their centre and live life in a good way.

His passion for self excellence was born through many years as an elite athlete and has led him into the depths of Yogic study, multiple avenues of self development work and landed him with an affinity for the process of direct inquiry.

When working with men, Ryan calls upon his life experience, his ongoing study of self, breath, psyche & health, the guidance of his mentors and the lessons of life to provide useful frameworks, experiences and areas for men to explore their inner landscape.

Ryan works with a vision to reweave a healthy culture for men to thrive in the modern world, feeling good in themselves, their service and their communities.
